The main distinguishing feature of Goodram SODIMM DDR4 memory modules is the use of ECC (Error Correction Code) technology. Memory modules based on ECC technology have an additional chip for each module. This configuration does not increase the overall capacity of the module. Its function is to verify the data transferred between the memory module and the processor's memory controller. When the RAM chips are read, the data is compared to the stored checksum. If the data matches this checksum, it is sent back to the CPU. If, on the other hand, the data does not match, it is corrected using the checksum and returned to the CPU. Therefore, ECC technology significantly increases the stability and reliability of the memory modules, which is crucial for the continuous operation of the modules in servers.
Goodram SODIMM DDR4 ECC memory modules are available in capacities from 4GB to 32GB, and offer speeds of 2666MHz, 2933MHz and 3200MHz.
