The PLTT resistor, with its wide operating temperature range (-55°C to +215°C), provides nearly 100°C of extension over traditional thin-film chip resistors. The device features a low TCR of ±5 ppm/°C, tolerances as low as ±0.02%, very low noise of <-35 dB, and low voltage coefficients of 0.1 ppm/V. The PLTT resistor offers a power rating of 250 mW to 1000 mW and operates within a voltage range of 100 V to 200 V.
With layer stability characteristics and a performance of 500 ppm at +215°C for 2000 hours, the resistor is optimized for low noise, single-signal processing required to compensate for low displacement and thermal drift in high-temperature environments, such as those found in oil and gas exploration, telecommunications, and industrial equipment.
The PLTT features a high-purity ceramic substrate, 10-20 microinch gold-plated terminals over a nickel barrier for high-temperature soldering (HMP), and an enhanced special passivation method (SPM) for corrosion resistance. It is RoHS compliant (2002/95/EC), halogen-free according to EN 61249-2-21, and flame-resistant according to UL 94 V-0.
