As an open kit for complete integration, it can now also be used in rotary applications. Using these systems, the formats, travels, and end positions of the axes can be adjusted automatically, quickly, and reliably.
The new absolute encoder disc can be integrated into motors and actuators as a highly accurate absolute feedback solution. Its length is only 12–20 mm and its diameter is 30 mm, depending on the design.
A fully integrated, single-chip solution forms the core of the magnetic scanning and signal generation process. Position data is generated in real time and supplied in absolute format via standard drive engineering interfaces, such as bidirectional SSI or BiSS C. Incremental SIN/COS analog signals and ABZ signals are also available.
The Balluff evaluation kit includes a high-precision, perpendicularly magnetized Permagnet® absolute angle measuring system. Like the encoder kit, it offers various serial (absolute) and incremental interfaces for connection to numerous different closed-loop systems. It is easy to use; once adapted to the drive, the user can perform the necessary system tests to obtain a customized and optimized solution using the BiSS-USB adapter and the supplied evaluation software.
