They are ideal for terminations with metric screws or threaded studs and can be used in solderless wiring applications in industrial equipment, automotive, and consumer electronics. Metric ring terminals offer the same features and benefits as traditional insulated Avikrimp and uninsulated VersaKrimp solderless ring terminals, while also increasing current-carrying capacity and reliability.
Molex metric ring terminals meet UL requirements only when crimped using Molex-recommended tools. However, crimping can be performed with a variety of industry-standard tools. All terminals are manufactured from high-quality, oxygen-free, tin-plated copper to provide oxidation protection and ensure a highly conductive and reliable crimp.
The uninsulated VersaKrimp rings feature a reinforced joint to create a seamless tube, eliminating the need for correct orientation during crimping and allowing 360-degree rotation of the jaws for faster and more reliable crimping. Avikrimp rings are pre-insulated with nylon on the tube to prevent arcing between adjacent terminals on a busbar. The tubes have tin-plated brass bushings, providing a protected, conductive, and insulated termination that offers optimal vibration resistance and meets TÜV, VDE, IEC, and DIN performance requirements. Avikrimp rings also allow 360-degree rotation of the jaws.
