When choosing a buzzer, one of the main requirements is whether you want one with an integrated driver or not.
A buzzer with an integrated driver works simply by applying the specified voltage, while a buzzer with an external driver requires an oscillating signal at its input to produce sound.

A buzzer with an internal driver is easier to implement in the design, but it offers less flexibility in choosing the desired tone. In other words, when voltage is applied, it will always sound at a fixed frequency. A buzzer with an external driver is the opposite. In this case, you'll need to consider the design of the external oscillator or oscillating input signal, but it will provide a wider range of frequencies depending on the oscillating signal at the input.

OBO offers an extensive portfolio of buzzers with different voltages, sizes, and in SMD, insert, or wired formats.
