According to current standards, operator panels and portable controls must be equipped with an emergency stop indicator that signals when the machine is ready for operation. This indicator is typically illuminated in red. When the operator panel is switched off, it should be concealed to avoid creating a false sense of security.
To comply with standards for connectorizable or wireless control panels, SCHLEGEL's new emergency light mushroom will illuminate red, indicating that the panel is connected and the mushroom is functional. When this is not the case, the mushroom will not illuminate and will appear gray, minimizing the possibility of errors.
Before enabling the system, KOLBI ELECTRÓNICA recommends a check of the installation. Depending on the risk analysis, the emergency stop lighting should be monitored by a diagnostic unit.
SCHLEGEL offers emergency pushbuttons for mounting in a 22.3mm diameter hole with IP65 protection rating. Connection is made via 2.8x0.8mm Faston connectors or PCB contacts. This new emergency pushbutton is certified to the new EN ISO 13850:2016 standard and already complies with the current ISO 13850:2015(E) standard.
