Power electronics is a fundamental technology in markets such as rail and renewable energy, and one of the most important application areas for HARTING solutions. HARTING is a market leader in electromechanical components and systems for these applications and is constantly expanding its product range for connector technology.

Currently, HARTING has added new sensor components and developed innovative solutions for this product range.
Current sensors are electromechanical components that provide an accurate representation of input and output currents in real time. These measurement signals are used for precise control of power semiconductors and for system monitoring.

Working closely with key customers, HARTING has developed an optimized solution that meets the requirements of modern power electronics. The new family of current sensors is based on the proven Hall effect, which measures current electrically through its magnetic field. Two measurement principles are used: offset current sensors (closed-loop technology) are used for demanding measurement tasks; direct representation current sensors (open-loop technology) can be used when accuracy requirements are less stringent.

In addition to a robust design developed for use in demanding environments, such as in the rail and renewable energy markets, the new HARTING current sensors.
