It combines an ultra-compact size with a low price, making it one of the most efficient thermal cameras on the market, which can also be used in a large number of applications, such as those of the Internet of Things.

This product is designed for process automation, data centers, power generation and distribution, public and freight transport, storage facilities and cold storage warehouses.

Ideal for continuous monitoring of the temperature of facilities and premises, the camera integrates an intelligent temperature sensor with analysis functions to ensure that when it detects a change in temperature it can determine it and act accordingly.

Combining the functions of a thermal camera with a visual sensor in a single compact unit measuring 54 x 25 x 95 mm makes the device easy to install in space-constrained areas, providing continuous temperature monitoring and alerts. This allows for uninterrupted tracking of critical electrical and mechanical equipment conditions.
Offering constant, reliable monitoring to detect hotspots without the need for periodic manual analysis, the AX8 helps identify problems early, such as loose connections or overloads, preventing unplanned service interruptions.

The streaming video output provides live images of all facilities and automated alerts if configured temperature thresholds are exceeded. Furthermore, more advanced alerts can be configured via PLC.

Multiple video options are available: thermal imaging, visible light imaging, or a combination of both using FLIR's MSX® technology. MSX® delivers enhanced thermal image detail, providing sharper edge definition and greater contextual information.

The AX8 sensor also includes: Power over Ethernet (PoE); industry-standard interfaces including Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP; multiple video streaming formats including MPEG, MJPEG, and H.264; Flir's revolutionary Lepton thermal imaging sensor; an integrated 640 x 480 digital camera; and an IP67-rated housing.
