It offers common connectivity options and enables high-speed processing with comprehensive measurement performance. In addition to measured values, the sensor also provides data for online optimization of measurement performance and continuous condition monitoring.
The OD200 delivers more stable and accurate measurement results on challenging surfaces. This is thanks to its newly developed triangulation measurement core with powerful evaluation algorithms. Currently designed for processing speeds up to 3 kHz, it will be available in various sensor variants for measuring fields from 25 mm to 160 mm. Furthermore, the high-resolution receiver unit ensures reliable detection even on surfaces with low reflectivity.
Finally, the optical system has also been optimized in terms of spot geometry and homogeneity, as well as its insensitivity to ambient light. Combined, these features guarantee reliable measurement and switching performance for highly shiny, reflective, or almost non-reflective objects, as well as for structured and non-homogeneous surfaces or those with critically high ambient light levels.
Thanks to its miniature housing, the sensor offers ample mounting space even in confined installations. Intelligent presets and algorithms, along with an intuitive, menu-driven user interface on the device's display, simplify sensor setup and operation. It's a time-saving, plug-and-play solution requiring no parameterization. With IO-Link, an analog current/voltage output, and a switched input/output, the OD200's connectivity options include all necessary industry-standard interfaces and I/O. As a result, the OD200 offers a high degree of flexibility for integration into automation systems and Industry 4.0 environments. Full access to the sensor is maintained via IO-Link, even in challenging or inaccessible installation locations.
In addition to actual measurement data, the OD200 also provides various operating data, such as exposure time and signal peak width, which are used to calculate distance. This information on ongoing operation can be used both for online optimization of sensor performance and for applications as part of Condition Monitoring of the sensor or processes.
