The 701917 probe covers the 50 MHz DC frequency range, and the 701918 covers the 120 MHz DC frequency range. They offer ten times the sensitivity of previous models (typically 1 V/A) along with low noise levels, typically 60 A RMS, making them ideal for measuring low currents from approximately 1 mA to 5 A.
The probes feature a slim, lightweight sensor head that is easy to use in confined spaces. Automatic zeroing and degaussing are accessed via a button on the terminal box, resulting in quick and easy setup. An overload/jaw-unlocked warning is included for added safety.
Connection to the oscilloscope is via a BNC connector on the front panel. Power can be supplied through the oscilloscope's probe power supply or via a separate probe power supply.
Applications include testing LED drivers, controllers, and power supplies; evaluating integrated power supplies; measuring the power consumption of low-voltage devices such as FPGAs; and testing integrated components in household appliances.
The 701917 and 701918 probes are designed for use with Yokogawa's DLM2000 and DLM4000 series mixed-signal oscilloscopes and the DL850E and DL850EV series ScopeCorders.
