The 2110 features include DC voltage (up to 1000V) and current (up to 10A), AC voltage (up to 750V) and current (10A), 2- and 4-wire resistance (up to 100MΩ), temperature, frequency (10Hz-300kHz) and period, and capacitance (ranging from 1nF to 100μF). It also includes various mathematical functions and diode and continuity testing capabilities. The programmable A/D converter and filtering options optimize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for improved measurement accuracy. When configured to 4.5 digits, it can measure at a rate of 50,000 readings per second.


The instrument's dual display can show the results of two measurements simultaneously, such as DC voltage and temperature, allowing users to monitor temperature fluctuations without interrupting other measurements. Its intuitive front panel is easy enough for students to use without sacrificing performance or flexibility.


Temperature is the most common measured parameter, and the 2110 model includes support for measurements with RTDs, NTC thermistors, and type B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T thermocouples. Internal cold junction compensation ensures greater thermocouple measurement accuracy without the need for additional accessories.
To simplify the process of converting measurements into final results, the 2110 model includes the most common mathematical functions: percentage, average, min/max, null, limits, mX+B, dB, and dBm. The KI-Tool and KI-Link software tools allow the user to remotely control the instrument, record measurements, plot results over time, and import them into Microsoft Word or Excel files to generate reports. IVI and LabVIEW drivers provide programming flexibility.


With either USB or USB/GPIB connectivity, the 2110 can be easily integrated into test systems with other instruments, such as Keithley 2200 Series DC power supplies. The remote USB interface with TMC compatibility and the optional GPIB interface allow for the reuse of existing SCPI programs.
This new DMM offers added value at a very competitive price for manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated testing of low-cost electronic devices, circuits, modules, electrical components, and semiconductor components. Production, R&D, test engineers, scientists, and students will find this instrument useful for performing a wide variety of measurements in benchtop, portable, and test system applications that do not require the high accuracy offered by the Keithley 2000 Series DMMs, but do require precise, stable, and fast measurements.
