The Teledyne WaveSurfer 3000 Series combines multi-instrument testing and analysis capabilities with a new, intuitive user interface. LeCroy's new touchscreen interface, called MAUI, is designed to be the next generation of user-friendly on-screen test and control interfaces. MAUI provides one-touch access to frequently used controls. Triggers, measurements, and mathematical functions are easily accessible. Waveforms can be quickly dragged to new locations, and details can be examined by zooming in with a finger. More importantly, intelligent display features automatically resize and reposition waveforms, measurement results, menus, and other screen elements for improved accessibility and readability.
The WaveSurfer 3000 Series has built-in 16-channel mixed-signal oscilloscope capability, capturing and storing signals for later analysis. The waveform generator also serves as a function generator, reducing the number of test instruments required. The protocol analyzer includes serial triggering and decoding capabilities. An advanced active probe interface is sufficient for measuring high voltages, high frequencies, current consumption, and flexible differential signals.
500 MHz waveforms can be captured at up to 4 Gsps capture rate. The waveform update rate is 130,000 waveforms/second. Up to 16 digital channels can be captured at 500 MSPS each. The WaveSurfer 3000 has a large memory depth and can store up to 10 million signal sample points per channel (10 Mpts).
Any WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscope can be upgraded to a higher-bandwidth model in the series via a firmware update. Models are field-upgradeable and do not require sending the model to LeCroy.
