In addition to other technical refinements, Aaronia's now-patented solution generates reduced data rates by using a digital processing circuit to compress the IQ data stream in real time.
Furthermore, with real-time IQ data compression, IQ and Q data values below a threshold can be replaced with a constant value. This means that frequency ranges particularly relevant to the user can be easily output as IQ data. When there is no signal, only noise, filtering is performed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), which significantly reduces the data load.
Consequently, only predefined events are recorded with Aaronia's solution. Only the frequencies the technician is actually interested in are filtered from a wide range. The system searches for frequency ranges that actually contain signals, transmits the corresponding IQ data, and outputs it through the data interface.

Selective output of IQ data streams
Aaronia spectrum analyzers are characterized by their bandwidth and speed. Another key feature is real-time IQ data logging and the ability to analyze it in detail afterward.
This is based on the most efficient compression logic possible. After all, IQ data logging generates very large amounts of data in a very short time, which must be transmitted extremely quickly and, if necessary, stored.
