The SL2000 can be used independently or in combination with the ScopeCorder DL950, depending on the application. No other product family on the market offers this level of flexibility in handling multichannel measurements. With the ScopeCorder product family, Yokogawa offers a comprehensive and multifaceted solution for the high-precision mechatronics and electrical power markets, contributing to the advancement and development of new technologies and applications.
Features
1. Enables both high-speed sampling and multi-channel measurement.
The SL2000 performs long-duration, multi-channel measurements while accurately analyzing even the most detailed aspects of waveforms. With its dual capture function, the SL2000 can perform measurements over extended periods at speeds up to 200 MS/s. And in situations where post-processing on a PC is required after measurement, the main unit can continue taking measurements and features a function that enables real-time calculations. This reduces cycle time, i.e., the calculated rate at which finished units must leave the production line.
The integrated IS8000 measurement software facilitates the long-term measurements required for durability testing, contributing to improved product design efficiency and evaluation work. Furthermore, the insulation measurement technology ensures the noise resistance necessary for durability testing in harsh environments.
2. Compatibility with simultaneous measurement of a wide variety of devices.
The SL2000 has eight slots (with up to 32 channels), for which more than 20 types of input modules are available. These modules allow for the measurement of electrical signals, mechanical performance parameters indicated by sensors, and decoded signals from the vehicle's serial bus. To increase the number of measurement channels, up to five SL2000 and DL950 units can be synchronized.
Main target markets
· Transport (automotive, rail, aviation, etc.)
· Energy and power (renewable energy, smart cities/homes, data centers, etc.)
· Mechatronics, including industrial robots and motors
Applications
· Durability and reliability testing of components and vehicles requiring high sampling rates and simultaneous multi-channel measurement of analog signals and on-board bus signals, such as CAN and CAN FD.
· Simultaneous measurement and evaluation of temperature, vibration, and other relatively slow-changing mechanical signals, as well as mechatronic and other high-speed control signals.
· Electrical analysis and evaluation of control signals.
Additional technical information
The SL2000 high-speed data acquisition unit inherits all the functions and features of the DL950, including its firmware. Both cover voltages up to 1000 V, with a sampling rate of up to 200 MS/s.
The DL950 displays signals directly on its large screen, while the SL2000 displays them on a PC via a high-speed communication link. The DL950 uses a trigger-type recording process, while the SL2000 uses long-duration, multi-channel recording.
The DAQ software tools and system architecture required for the evaluation and testing phases are supplied with the SL2000 instrument. An API library (free-run DAQ API, trigger DAQ API, and Flash acquisition API) and a LabVIEW driver for acquiring streaming data are included as free software. A one-time license for the IS8000 control software, which includes DAQ enhancements, is also provided. Sample DAQ programs (in Python, C#, VB, etc.) and a classic data viewer (IS8002CDV) for remote access are also included. Software such as a USB driver, the TMCTL library, and the MATLAB WDF access toolkit will be added later.
The SL2000 includes several new features, including a preset IP address function, a connection tool, and link operation before connecting the instrument to a PC. It also features the ability to view and switch subunit screens on the main unit. With the SL2000, the IS8000 supports up to 160 measurement channels (previously 128), achieved by connecting four subunits to the main unit with fiber optic cables. Measurement data can be recorded simultaneously on a PC or the main unit, and files are transferred to a PC via the IS8000 software. High-precision synchronous measurements are possible with a DLM series oscilloscope and the WT5000, which are time-synchronized according to the IEEE 1588 standard.
The transmission (the continuous flow of data from the instrument to the PC, without buffering or use of internal memory) reaches 320 MB/s with Flash acquisition or 10 Gbps Ethernet, allowing data to be transmitted continuously at a speed of up to 20 MS/s.
With a chassis size of 426 (width) x 177 (height) x 380 (depth) mm and a 50 x 30 mm monochrome LCD screen, the SL2000 can be easily placed on a development bench or mounted in a 19-inch rack and combined with power supplies and other systems.
The SL2000 is now available and will be ready for delivery by the end of the second quarter or the beginning of the third.
