The company is launching this initiative in partnership with the Castilla-La Mancha Science and Technology Park as part of International Recycling Day. This collaboration began last year with the installation of a household oil collection machine, also at the Park's facilities.

The environmental impact of just one kilogram of used batteries reaches 600,000 liters of water, and a single kilogram of fluorescent lights emits up to 10 kg of CO2. Furthermore, the production of coffee capsules contaminates more than 1,000 liters of water per minute. These figures have led Ingeteam, a company specializing in renewable energy, to collaborate in the management of hard-to-collect waste by installing this recycling machine. Through a financial incentive, the company aims to motivate citizens to participate in recycling waste that, due to its specific characteristics, is more difficult to manage and produces a high degree of pollution, generating significant CO2 emissions, directly or indirectly.

This new recycling facility, Envirobank, will prevent the emission of 100 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere and reduce water consumption by 1 million liters.
It is an initiative of the Recicla y Gana (Recycle and Win) platform, which promotes the Circular Economy as a way to increase recycling rates, with a special focus on waste that is particularly harmful to the environment.

Recicla y Gana (Recycle and Win) is Spain's first award-winning recycling platform. Based on the principles of the Circular Economy, its mission is to increase recycling rates by incentivizing users for their waste. Those wishing to recycle batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and coffee capsules must register as users at www.reciclaygana.org. Once registered, they will receive a membership card at their home address to use the machine, which they can also access through the platform's app. They must deposit several units of the same product into the machine, collected in a bag or container bearing the user's barcode.
