NeoCortec's NeoMesh technology will be integrated into Honeywell's wireless fire detection products, such as smoke detectors, modules, and audiovisual devices.
"We are delighted to be working with Honeywell to create a new generation of wireless detectors that combine our protocol and wireless mesh network stack with Honeywell's expertise in fire detection," says Thomas Halkier, CEO of NeoCortec.

Designed for versatility and use in diverse application areas, the NeoCortec NeoMesh wireless mesh network protocol and software stack are optimized for ultra-low power operation. NeoMesh is ideal for wireless sensor network installations where each device needs to send small data packets infrequently. In these applications, NeoMesh can allow the network to operate on small batteries for several years. Unlike most other mesh networking technologies, NeoMesh is dynamic and scalable, with very few limitations on network size or depth.

"Wireless fire safety systems can offer building owners the agility they need to meet the evolving expectations of occupants as building spaces become more dynamic, while also saving costs in terms of testing and maintenance routines," says Jurgen van Goethem, vice president and general manager of fire and security at Honeywell Building Technologies.
