“The EFX event concept allows us to fully focus on our 1-STOP SMART SOLUTION and the powerful new features we’ve added to our YRi-V AOI platform,” said Shuichi Imai. “By emphasizing face-to-face dialogue, visitors will be able to ask our SMT and inspection experts questions at the booth and get detailed answers that will help them improve production performance.”.
The 1 STOP SMART SOLUTION enhances the individual advantages of Yamaha's automated printing, placement, and inspection systems by tightly integrating processes and connecting them with YSUP smart factory software tools. YSUP optimizes the scheduling of all machines on the line, displays real-time production data on the customizable control panel, provides troubleshooting support, and facilitates traceability.
The latest models in the 1 STOP SMART SOLUTION include Yamaha’s highly automated YRP10 and entry-level YRP10e printers, as well as the high-speed YRM10 and YRM20 mounters. Building upon their existing capabilities, including the YRM20’s placement speed of up to 115,000 cph (or 120,000 cph in dual lane configuration), Yamaha has recently added significant updates that boost productivity by freeing operators from time-consuming tasks. New options for the YRM mounters include automatic nozzle checking and verification of component type and tolerance before placement, while the latest YSUP-PG programming software simplifies printer setup by automatically generating recommended parameters.
The YRi-V AOI system utilizes the same chassis that provides YRM assembly machines with their robust foundation for precise component placement. For inspection, this enables the camera to capture high-quality images at fast scan speeds, facilitating reliable evaluations with extensive board coverage and quick cycle times. The YRi-V's AI tools focus on streamlining time-consuming tasks such as component library creation, programming, and defect classification, enabling faster new product introduction (NPI) and increased productivity. Yamaha continues to add new features to enhance inspection performance, including on-the-fly program updates, non-stop board transfer, automatic alignment checking of arrayed components, and the "AI Judgement Station" for classifying repairs and reworks.
Yamaha Robotics will be present at booth 9B50, Hall 9, during the event to be held at Messe Stuttgart from October 6 to 8.
