From large-scale data centers and manufacturing facilities to skyscrapers and iconic infrastructure, the new SWL+ series provides the enhanced reliability that these mission-critical operations demand.
For over 40 years, Yuasa batteries have led the European market for standby power systems, supplying energy to everything from financial institutions and data centers to iconic skyscrapers and world-class sports venues. Combining premium Japanese engineering with state-of-the-art British manufacturing, GS Yuasa has built a reputation for unwavering quality and innovation. The SWL+ series continues this legacy, delivering superior performance while maintaining the reliability customers expect from Yuasa.
At the heart of the SWL+ series is hybrid pure lead technology, an advanced combination of primary pure lead and a special recycled alloy. By incorporating a sustainable element alongside pure lead, this pioneering approach achieves greater corrosion resistance and extends battery life. The carefully balanced alloy composition also enables higher energy density, vital for high-rate discharge scenarios where every second counts. This unique blend sets the SWL+ range apart from the competition, delivering greater longevity and reliable power.
Furthermore, the SWL+ series incorporates GS Yuasa's exclusive HT Element X Alloy™, which dramatically reduces positive grid corrosion and water loss under high-temperature conditions. Combined, these innovations deliver robust performance, extended longevity, and reliable power even in the most demanding operating environments. They also enable energy cost savings: for example, maintaining an ambient temperature of 25°C in battery rooms ensures a 12-year service life, reducing the need for more intensive (and expensive) cooling.
Its extended 15-year lifespan not only reduces the frequency of replacement, but also offers significant investment advantages by lowering long-term investment costs.
“We have been providing power for Europe’s skyscrapers and critical infrastructure for decades,” said Andrew Taylor, CEO and Managing Director of GS Yuasa Battery Europe Ltd., one of Europe’s leading battery companies. “Now, the best has gotten even better. The SWL+ series offers longer lifespan, improved high-discharge performance, and advanced technologies, all while maintaining direct compatibility with existing SWL systems. It is a direct reflection of our commitment to continuous innovation and evolving energy needs of our customers.”
