This space-grade power device is a standard-type non-hybrid isolated DC converter that comes with an electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter and is powered by a 28V satellite bus in harsh environments.
The SA15-28 comes with three 5V outputs, ideal for point-of-load converters and low-dropout (LDO) linear regulators for powering FPGAs and microprocessors. The SA15-28 is remarkably small, weighing only 60 grams and occupying approximately 27.5 cm³, designed to optimize the device's size, weight, and power consumption. The SF100-28 EMI noise suppression filter can be used with numerous power converters to achieve a total output power of up to 100W. For added flexibility in space applications, the SA15-28 and SF100-28 are fully compatible with Microchip's existing SA50 series power converters and SF200 filter.
High levels of reliability and performance are essential for power solutions in harsh environments. The SA15-28 DC/DC converter is designed to operate over a wide temperature range of −55°C to +125°C and offers a radiation tolerance of up to 100 krad TID.
