Up to 5W/1A is available with an 18-36VDC input, and the unit operates from -40°C to 110°C ambient temperature with power reduction. The DC/DC converter is certified to UL/EN/IEC 62368-1 for 'basic' grade isolation of 4kVDC/1sec and meets EMC EN 55032 Class B for conducted input noise with a single input filter. The units are rated to operate at an altitude of 5000m in a pollution degree 2 (PD2) environment, and the MTBF is greater than 1.4Mhrs at 25°C according to MIL-HDBK-217F (GB).
The REC5K-AW is protected against short circuits and features input undervoltage protection. It also provides on/off control with a typical standby current of only 3mA.
