The RECOM RPA series is characterized by an extremely high power density of 4.5 W/cm³ and delivers 20 W or 30 W of power from a small 1" x 1" enclosure, or 60 W from a 2" x 1" enclosure. For excellent thermal performance, RECOM presents the new RP20-FR and RP40-FR series in a compact 2" x 1" enclosure.
The regulated DC/DC converter has a wide 4:1 input voltage range and has been specially designed for railway applications. In addition to the EN50155 certification required for railway vehicles, it also holds the UL/cUL60950 certification essential for industrial applications.
Besides single outputs of 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, and 15 V, dual outputs with ±12 V and ±15 V are also available. The output voltage can be adjusted in ±10% increments via an external circuit. The new converters achieve exceptionally high efficiency ratings within their respective classes. The compact RPA60 series, housed in a 2x1-inch enclosure, exceeds 94% peak efficiency, for example. Recom paid particular attention to ensuring that these peak values are achieved not only at full load, but especially in the 40-80% range, which is particularly important in practical applications.
Recom offers a 3-year warranty on all models. Based on performance data, the new product family offers a very attractive price-performance ratio. The first samples are available immediately through distributors.
