The RSD-500 series is a low-profile (1U) grid box with an isolated output and regulated power supply. This device boasts features such as a fanless design, semi-encapsulated silicone gel insulation, a wide 2:1 input ratio, and 4000VDC input-output isolation. It offers a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C and 5G vibration resistance. Furthermore, the RSD-500 series is certified to ITE IEC62368-1 / UL62368-1 / RCM AS / NZS62368.1, EN55032, EAC TP TC004, and the EN50155 railway safety standard, ensuring reliable operation (as additional DC UPS system isolation, battery voltage regulator, etc.) in a wide range of ITE and railway applications.
They feature low noise and ripple, high efficiency, and are protected against reverse polarity at the input. The inrush current is limited by a resistor in series with a MOSFET to reliably reduce the peak inrush current regardless of ambient temperature.
Its output is protected against short circuits and overloads by limiting the output current, allowing loads with a large starting peak to start.
