The ZL9101M follows Intersil's "Power Made Simple" philosophy, offering customers a unit that can easily adapt to different power system requirements. It provides a quick and easy-to-implement alternative for power solutions up to 12 A, drastically reducing the number of discrete components and complex external circuitry needed to implement a complete POL solution. The ZL9101M also features a highly thermally efficient 15 mm x 15 mm QFN package, significantly improving system reliability.
This thermally enhanced package incorporates large thermal pads on the bottom and perimeter terminals for visual solder inspection. The package has very low thermal resistivity, 11.5 C/W on the top and 2.2 C/W on the bottom, enabling a power density of 61 W/cm³, three times higher than other similar solutions on the market.
The ZL9101M module simplifies intelligent power management designs through its PMBus interface. Enabled by an internal Zilker Labs digital controller, the PMBus interface provides maximum flexibility and allows for easy real-time monitoring of voltage, current, temperature, and other parameters. The ZL9101M also includes adaptive performance optimization algorithms to improve power conversion performance and efficiency across the entire load range.
