This family of five high-speed power MOSFET and IGBT driver ICs offers an output supply/consumption current of up to +1.9 A/-2.3 A for fast turn-on and turn-off times, while their high-current capability allows the new devices to efficiently control larger switches for higher-power applications. The range includes two half-bridge drivers: the AUIRS2184S, characterized by a fixed dead time of 500 ns, and the AUIRS21844S with a programmable dead time between 400 ns and 5 µs. The AUIRS2181S, AUIRS21811S, and AUIRS21814S are dual-channel driver ICs for the high- and low-voltage sides with various input logics and propagation delays.

These ICs incorporate proprietary HVIC (high-voltage integrated circuit) and hold-immune CMOS technologies to provide a monolithic and robust structure. The output drivers feature a high-amplitude pulse current buffer stage designed for minimal driver cross-conduction. The floating channel can be used to drive an N-channel power MOSFET or an IGBT in the high-side configuration, operating up to 600 V. Furthermore, the devices set a new market benchmark for negative voltage spike immunity, ensuring reliable operation even under extreme switching conditions and in the event of a short circuit. Other key features of this family include undervoltage blocking for both channels, compatibility with 3.3 V and 5 V input logic, and lower di/dt for improved noise immunity. The separate ground and Vss logic signal pins included in some models offer enhanced immunity to transient changes in the COM voltage.
