The new LinkSwitch-TN2 AC/DC converters offer excellent line and load regulation, as well as great flexibility. They are ideal for engineers designing non-isolated offline switched-mode power supplies for sectors such as household appliances, measuring equipment, and smart LED controllers, as well as IoT and home and building automation applications.
The LinkSwitch-TN2 ICs offer greater design flexibility by allowing the selection of device current limits. Protection features include automatic reset for short-circuit and open-loop faults, limiting power supply to 3% of maximum, as well as output overvoltage protection (OVP) and overtemperature protection (OTP).
The HiperPFS-4 family of PFC controller chips has been optimized for high power factor and efficiency under varying loads. By eliminating the need for external current-sensing resistors and the resulting power loss, this product range offers high levels of integration and incorporates 600V rated MOSFET switches for a very compact PFC form factor.
Designed for a wide range of applications in household appliances, adapters, and high-power LED lighting, as well as high-consumption devices and computers, the HiperPFS-4 family is characterized by an efficiency of over 95% at 10 to 100% load; less than 60 mW no-load consumption at 230 V AC; a power factor of 0.95 achievable at 20% load; and compliance with EN61000-3-2 Class C and D. It includes overvoltage protection, undervoltage lockout, overtemperature protection, and cycle-by-cycle current and intensity limits for overload protection.
