The small package can be easily mounted and used with a wide variety of gear tooth detection applications. This new IC employs proprietary algorithms for the special operational requirements of transmissions in automotive and recreational vehicle applications. It is also compatible with non-automotive applications found in household appliances, exercise equipment, and industrial equipment.
The target speed and direction are communicated via a variable pulse-width output protocol. The ATS699 is particularly useful in handling vibrations without sacrificing maximum air gap capacity or creating erroneous "steering" pulses. Even greater angular vibration caused by engine starting is completely rejected by the device.

The advanced vibration detection algorithm systematically calibrates the sensor IC on the initial teeth of the actual target rotation, not on the vibration itself, ensuring an accurate signal in operating mode at all times. Advanced signal processing and innovative algorithms make the ATS699 an ideal solution for a wide range of speed and direction detection needs.
The Allegro ATS699 is available in a lead-free (Pb) 3-pin SIP package (SN suffix) with a tinned lead frame.
