In recent years, MOSFETs have become increasingly necessary to ensure sufficient margin against voltage fluctuations by providing non-disruptive 40 V and 60 V outputs that allow the 24 V input required for motors used in industrial equipment and base stations. Furthermore, MOSFETs are expected to offer higher switching speeds along with lower on-resistance to further improve motor efficiency and miniaturization.

In response, ROHM has developed its 6th generation 40V/60V MOSFETs using the most advanced precision manufacturing processes for Nch MOSFETs, following the launch of the latest generation Pch MOSFETs announced late last year. This combination allows ROHM to provide class-leading dual Nch+Pch MOSFETs that deliver the non-disruptive ±40V/±60V voltage required for 24V input. Furthermore, the company has also developed the QH8Kxx/SH8Kxx (Nch+Nch) +40V/+60V series to meet a wider range of needs.
(12 models in total of Nch+Pch and Nch+Nch)

The QH8Mx5/SH8Mx5 series utilizes state-of-the-art, proprietary processes to achieve class-leading on-resistance, 61% lower than that of Pch MOSFETs in dual MOSFET products in the ±40 V class. This contributes to significantly reduced power consumption in a wide range of applications. Furthermore, integrating two devices into a single package helps miniaturize applications by reducing the mounting area and decreasing the workload required for component selection (combining Nch and Pch).

ROHM will continue to expand its range to include 100V and 150V products for industrial equipment requiring higher voltages, responding to market demands for lower energy consumption and size reduction across a wide variety of applications.
