The first consumer devices based on the InnoSwitch4-CZ devices were unveiled today by Anker, the world's leading experts in mobile device charging, via a YouTube Live event which can be accessed here.

The InnoSwitch4-CZ family incorporates a 750 V tap changer, primary and secondary drivers, a ClampZero interface, synchronous rectification, and safety feedback in a single, compact InSOP-24D package. A steady-state switching frequency of up to 140 kHz minimizes transformer size, further increasing power density. Unlike older active clamp flyback approaches, the combination of InnoSwitch4-CZ and ClampZero delivers up to 95% efficiency and maintains very high efficiency across variations in line voltage, system load, and output voltage. This is achieved through asymmetric variable-frequency control of the active clamp with intelligent zero-voltage switching, enabling continuous and discontinuous conduction operating modes, greatly improving design flexibility and maximizing efficiency across the entire operating range. The new flyback switching integrated circuits allow for exceptional CV/CC accuracy, independent of external components, and consume less than 30 mW without load, including safety and protection functions with line detection.
Designed for compact, high-efficiency USB PD adapters, high-density flyback designs up to 110 W, and high-efficiency CV/DC power supplies, the InnoSwitch4-CZ ICs offer variable output voltage and constant current profiles. The devices are fully protected and feature auto-reset or latching fault response for output overvoltage and undervoltage protection, multiple output undervoltage failure thresholds, and primary latching or hysterical overtemperature protection.
