The Allegro AMT49702 is capable of generating output currents up to 1 A per channel and operating voltages from 3.5 to 15 V. Key applications include: Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) – mirror positioning and dust protection, navigation – screen lift, driver attention monitoring – camera movement or focus, and steering wheel communication – vibration alert.
The AMT49702 is a device targeted at the automotive industry and has been tested over extended temperature and voltage ranges to ensure compliance in automotive or industrial applications. It has a fixed internal PWM timer that sets a maximum current based on the selection of a current-sensing resistor. An output fault indicator is provided to notify the user of a TSD (Temporary Sense Discharge) or overcurrent protection event.
The AMT49702 is supplied in a low-profile, 16-lead TSSOP package (suffix "LP") with an exposed power pin for improved heat dissipation.
