The new Intel Quark D1000, Intel Quark D2000, and Intel Quark SE microcontrollers unveiled today are designed to provide low-cost connectivity, integration, and compatibility to the next wave of smart devices.
“We are excited to add the new Intel Quark microcontrollers to next-generation embedded devices and IoT devices,” said Aiden Mitchell, vice president of semiconductor marketing at Arrow. “Arrow Electronics is uniquely positioned to support customers with the design, integration, connectivity, and software features of their Quark-powered applications.”
Intel Quark technology extends intelligent computing to devices that require low power consumption for data actuation and sensor input applications. The new processors unveiled today offer flexible, low-power computing for a wide range of small form factor applications. They are also equipped with hardware- and software-based security features designed to protect data from the edge to the data center.
“Expanding our Intel Quark brand will allow new IoT devices to reach the market,” said Tanya Pelletier, senior product manager for Intel’s Quark Solutions Division. “Arrow can help our products reach engineers, programmers, and manufacturers working on smart products and services.”
The Intel Quark D1000 microcontroller is currently available. The Intel Quark D2000 and Intel Quark SE microcontrollers will be available at Arrow.com in early 2016.
