These microcontrollers, which incorporate eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology, with sleep mode currents starting from only 20 nA and a typical active mode current of 35 µA/MHz, extend battery life, achieve precise synchronization thanks to a real-time clock (RTC), and can control a segmented LCD.

The PIC16LF190x family, incorporating Microchip's Enhanced midrange architecture, offers essential features and performance without the added cost of unused peripherals. The optimized feature set includes up to 14 KB of Flash program memory, up to 512 bytes of RAM, and up to 14 channels of 10-bit A/D converters, as well as serial communication and the ability to drive up to 116 LCD segments. It incorporates XLP technology to extend battery life and features such as an integrated temperature indicator for crystal-accurate compensation, support for low-power RTCs, and low-voltage detection via the integrated A/D converter and voltage reference.

The PIC16LF1902, PIC16LF1903 and PIC16LF1906 are supplied in 28-pin SPDIP, SOIC, SSOP and 4 mm x 4 mm UQFN packages, as well as in "die package" type, while the PIC16LF1904 and PIC16LF1907 are delivered in 40-pin PDIP and 5 mm x 5 mm UQFN packages, in "die packages" and 44-pin TQFP.
