The newly announced connectivity products include PCIe 2.0 packet switches with unique features such as integrated timing buffers; the PI7C9X2G308GP is the industry's only PCIe 2.0 packet switch that supports 4 upstream and 2 downstream ports; and the AECQ 3-port/4-Lane packet switch for infotainment applications.
Frequency products include only AEC-Q100 rated 100 MHz PCIe frequency generators intended for automotive infotainment applications, and programmable crystal oscillators (XO) that can support any frequency with a very short sample run time for various embedded applications.
Pericom has recently added AEC-Q100 qualified ReDrivers for automotive applications requiring extended cab wiring of high-speed serial signals, such as USB 3.0 and PCIe. The new reversible USB Type-C™ connector is being adopted in most embedded applications, and Pericom offers ReDriver and switch solutions for this rapidly growing technology.
