This 1-Form-B (normally closed) photovoltaic relay conducts a current of 1.2A, representing a 140% improvement over the company's previous generation TLP4176A device. Furthermore, its output terminal voltage is 60V with no conduction. Its sensitivity is enhanced by its low LED triggering current of 2mA (maximum).
The main applications of these photovoltaic relays include building automation systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and security, as well as fire alarms. They can also be used in various types of industrial equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), I/O interfaces, and sensor control hardware. Their 5000Vrms (minimum) isolation voltage allows them to be used where high levels of isolation are required, and their operating temperature range of -40°C to 110°C enables installation in harsh environments.
