The AVP runs Teledyne FLIR Prism AI and ISP software libraries and interfaces with Boson® and Neutrino® infrared thermal camera modules, as well as a wide range of well-known visible light cameras. Prism AI, trained on the world's largest thermal imaging data lake, consisting of over 5 million annotations, is perception software designed for the detection, classification, and tracking of targets or objects in applications such as autonomous vehicles, automotive emergency braking, aerial camera payloads, counter-drone systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and perimeter security.

Prism ISP is a collection of image processing algorithms that includes super-resolution, image fusion, atmospheric turbulence removal, electronic stabilization, contrast enhancement, and noise reduction. The AVP is supported by tools that simplify and optimize development, such as Qualcomm's RB5 development kit. Software packages and support cards are also available so developers can design and manufacture custom interface cards that meet specific product requirements for form factor, compatibility, functionality, and I/O.
