Toshiba Corporation has expanded its range of 6th generation robust switching discrete IGBT series for general and industrial applications with the addition of the "GT50J342," a TO-3P(N) package product with IC = 55A and VCES = 600V ratings. The new series guarantees VCE(sat) = 1.5V (typical) under IC = 50A and tsc = 5μs conditions (Tj ≤ 150°C) and is suitable for use in general-purpose inverters and motor drives.
