The DN1000ID-CP02 current transducer features a significantly larger creepage distance and insulation clearance of 38 mm, compared to the 11 mm of the standard DN1000ID version. Furthermore, the permissible voltage for uninsulated cables has been increased from 1000V to 3200V. As system voltages continue to rise across a wide range of applications, these improvements make the new device particularly well-suited for power measurement and analysis in electric vehicle (EV) chargers, power inverters, and battery energy storage systems.
Additional applications include test benches for electric vehicles, particle accelerators, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems and medical scanners, battery testing and evaluation equipment, current calibration systems, and other high-precision current sensing applications.
The DN1000ID-CP02 device features a removable insulation insert and a wide 40 mm opening to accommodate large cable terminals. The transducer is capable of measuring currents up to 1500 A, with continuous measurement of 1000 A and a linearity error of less than 1 ppm. It also supports an overcurrent capacity of 1200 A RMS for up to 30 minutes.
Based on Danisense's ultra-stable closed-loop fluxgate technology, the DN1000ID-CP02 offers a very low offset of 5 ppm and ultra-low drift. Its noise performance is class-leading, with RMS noise below 1 ppm at frequencies up to 10 kHz. The device provides high resolution for accurate monitoring, reliable and consistent performance, and a compact, rugged design that facilitates installation and ensures long-term durability.
