The 100-position Hall-sensor-based steering wheel promises an exceptionally long lifespan compared to conventional systems.
While mechanical systems lose accuracy over time due to wear, the HR100 steering wheel's Hall sensors remain precise and reliable throughout their lifespan. The new magnetic detent design is also resistant to mechanical abrasion, increasing not only its durability but also its resistance to wear, which further enhances longevity and reduces maintenance costs.
Unlike optical or mechanical scanning systems, the use of the latest Hall effect sensor-based scanning ensures consistent input accuracy, even under challenging conditions such as vibration or shock. This is especially advantageous in industrial environments where machines are typically exposed to harsh conditions. The noise immunity of Hall effect technology also guarantees high accuracy and reliability in any situation.
Controlled Inertia for Precision Adjustments
Another unique feature is the deliberately integrated overrun. The locking mechanism allows for precise adjustments on CNC machines thanks to its 100 locking points. In situations requiring a longer travel for precise positioning, the overrun allows the operator to move the machine without needing to operate the handwheel for the entire stroke. Conversely, a system with a ball spring locking mechanism stops immediately in the locking position, even during rapid rotation. This contributes to even more precise control and optimization of the manufacturing process.
Two versions for maximum flexibility.
The EBE HR100 handwheel is available in two different versions to meet individual user requirements. One variant is specifically designed for installation on control panels with selectable holding torque, where precise and reliable control directly at the machine interface is required. The other version has been weight-optimized for use on handheld control panels to ensure flexible and ergonomic handling, even in mobile applications. This variant can also be used on slim, stationary control panels. Both variants can be expanded with various control knobs and scales made of lightweight yet robust metal, enabling further adjustments and increased precision.
