The system consists of:
1. SP9001 AC Voltage Probe
2. Output unit to provide waveforms to an oscilloscope via BNC connection.
3. Grounding cable
4. USB cable for connecting to a power supply
(Items 2 to 4 are commonly referred to as "SP3000")
Applications:
• Automotive Maintenance
• Industrial Robot Testing
• Other applications where control and sensor signals are present
The SP3000-01 is scheduled for release in February 2017.
To measure pulse signals for controlling industrial robots, automotive sensor waveforms, and so on, oscilloscopes and data loggers are necessary. Identifying disturbances in the various waveforms to detect signs of impending failure or investigate the root causes of problems is essential for the maintenance and management of this type of equipment. However, connecting voltage probes to the signal terminals to be measured is often the most time-consuming part of this testing. This is because the devices in question use high-density connectors, and the wire terminals are located inside the hardware, making it extremely difficult to establish a reliable electrical contact.
The ability to obtain the voltage waveform outside the wire, something that is possible with many current sensors, would solve most of these problems. Recognizing this need, Hioki has developed this revolutionary technology to acquire AC voltage waveforms with a high degree of accuracy without requiring any metal parts in contact.
