Thanks to its compact design (standard version: 60 mm high and 30 mm wide), the ILT is particularly well-suited for applications with limited installation space. Manufacturers can, for example, install the sensor on mobile work machines or heating systems. Furthermore, the non-contact technology enables continuous, highly accurate level measurement of media containing particles, highly viscous substances, or solids. Potential applications range from wastewater treatment plants to all types of raw material and fuel containers.
The ILT-C01 version is designed for a temperature range of -40 to +100 °C, while the ILT-C05 version covers process temperatures up to 150 °C. A metal shield protects the sensor from interference due to electromagnetic field strength. The instrument operates reliably even under adverse conditions such as dust, humidity, and heat, and can withstand vibrations of up to 40 g and shocks of up to 100 g. Thanks to two additional switching points, in addition to the 4/20 mA or 0/5 V DC analog output signal, it is possible to integrate additional switching outputs, for example, for overflow protection or dry-running functions. Finally, the radar level sensor ensures low operating costs, as it requires no maintenance thanks to its non-contact measuring principle and wear-free design.
