It also manages the input/output unit (VMU-O) and the environmental variable unit (VMU-P) locally or remotely (via the “VMU-M” master module and data logger). Additionally, the “VMU-W” wireless modem transmits data when there is no wired internet or LAN access.
With these features, the VMU-C EM is the ideal solution for industrial and medium-sized buildings where energy monitoring is required.
In larger applications, where the client uses a SCADA protocol or a utility company provides energy monitoring to the end user, the VMU-C EM collects all the necessary information locally and sends it via FTP directly to the client's server for further processing. Alarms are automatically notified via email or SMS (if the “VMU-W” modem is installed).
Main features:
Web server-based solution that manages:
• Energy (kWh, kVarh), instantaneous variables (V, A, P, Q, PF, and Hz), and setpoints
• Temperature, analog, and pulse inputs (with scalable capacity)
• Digital input status
• Data logger
• Two tariffs
• Reports in CSV format
• Data available via: HTTP web browsing, HTTP on-demand survey data, FTP programmed data input, and Modbus TCP protocol (slave function)
