The new models, which replace the existing CA11 voltage/current calibrators and CA12 temperature calibrators, are designed to assist with the periodic inspection and calibration of field measurements and control devices in plant maintenance operations.
The accuracy and stability of the new calibrators reflect the current increased emphasis on stable and safe plant operations, where more efficient and higher-quality process calibrators are increasingly required. At the same time, control devices themselves are becoming more precise, so calibrators must also be increasingly accurate.
The three new models in the CA300 series are the CA310 volt/mA loop diagnostic calibrator, the CA320 thermocouple calibrator, and the CA330 RTD calibrator.
The CA310 is a dedicated process calibrator designed for checking the control loop behavior of transmitters and inspecting associated devices. It provides 20 mA and 24 V loop power functionality while simultaneously and accurately measuring the signal output. With a reading accuracy of ±0.015% on each source and measurement current and voltage terminal, it is three times more accurate than its predecessor, the CA11E. A 250 Ohm resistor is included for BRAIN or HART communications.
The CA320 is a dedicated process calibrator designed for inspecting and calibrating thermocouples and temperature controllers. It offers a significant improvement over the previous model, with an accuracy of ±0.5°C for type K thermocouples. It is compatible with JIS and IEC thermocouple standards, as well as ASTM and GOST-R standards, for inspecting and calibrating 16 industry-standard thermocouple types.
The CA330 is a dedicated process calibrator for RTD inspection and calibration. It boasts twice the accuracy of its predecessor, the CA12, with a basic accuracy of ±0.3°C, placing it among the top portable devices for this purpose. It is compliant with JIS, IEC, and GOST-R standards and meets the requirements for calibrating and inspecting 14 different types of industry-standard RTDs.
Each unit measures 90 × 192 × 42 mm and weighs 440 g. A wide range of accessories is available, including power adapters and a carrying case.
