It offers various charging options and a complete integrated station, and will initially be available with the E90 high-resolution, wide-angle camera. The E50 inspection camera and the CGOET dual camera (in its H520 version) can be pre-ordered and will be available soon.
The H520 sUAS has been designed for use in industrial and professional environments, offering high visibility thanks to its bright orange fuselage and a six-rotor design capable of maintaining flight with only five rotors. The H520's modular design is compatible with Yuneec's E90, E50, and CGOET cameras. All three cameras are interchangeable and can be hot-swapped using a quick-release mechanism. The E50 is a high-resolution, medium-focal-length camera perfectly suited for inspection work and video transmission.
The E90, on the other hand, is a high-resolution, wide-angle camera for applications requiring high-quality photos and videos, utilizing a 20-megapixel, one-inch Sony Exmor sensor and a high-speed Ambarella H2 image processor. These specifications make it ideal for building modeling, 2D/3D mapping, and film production. The CGOET dual thermal-RGB camera is specifically designed for public safety, search and rescue, and solar installation inspection applications, and is the industry's first to combine a thermal and afterglow camera with an integrated gimbal. The E90 and E50 cameras also include adapter rings that allow for the mounting of standard, high-performance third-party filters.
Each Yuneec camera can move 360°, providing an unobstructed view from any angle when used with the H520's retractable landing gear.
In addition, the camera and gimbal can tilt up to 20 degrees vertically. The H520 comes with the ST16S professional Android remote control, which features a 7-inch HD 720p screen for real-time video reception and HDMI output.
Yuneec DataPilot™ is a complete solution for planning reconnaissance missions and tracking waypoints. Unlike other flight planning applications, DataPilot™ is linked to the hardware and software that control the Yuneec H520 sUAS. DataPilot™ is integrated into the PX4 flight control architecture and was developed with Lorenz Meier, Head of Advanced R&D and a 2017 MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35.
In addition to full integration, distributors, operators, and developers have access to the H520 Software Development Kit (SDK), which enables third parties to develop applications and services for sUAS for a wide variety of professional uses. The Mobile SDK is a development kit designed to give developers access to and control over the software and hardware components of the Yuneec UAV platform.
