High-frequency developers can analyze the behavior of the WE-MK, WE-KI, and WE-TCI coil families available in design 0402 and 0603 through simulations. Modelithics libraries are available for Advanced Design System (ADS) and Genesys, as well as AWR Microwave Office.
The WE-KI, WE-MK, and WE-TCI coil series, with construction designs 0402 and 0603, cover inductance values from 1 to 1000 nH and are characterized up to 30 GHz using Modelithics. Thanks to the unique scalability of the base material, the models can be applied to various base materials. The series resistance and self-resonance have been precisely measured and are included in the model.
Models validated through measurement values
Larry Dunleavy, President and CEO of Modelithics, states: “With Würth Elektronik, we welcome one of Europe’s leading suppliers of passive components to our Modelithics Vendor Partner Program. The collaboration between our two companies will enable us to develop and offer high-quality simulation models of Würth Elektronik inductors. Developers in the high-frequency field will benefit from this synergy.”
“We are pleased to now be able to offer highly accurate simulation models validated by measurement values for the WE-MK, WE-KI, and WE-TCI product series. These models make it easier for our customers to design their products and drastically shorten development times,” says Hela Ben Htira, Product Manager at Würth Elektronik eiSos.
