Applications for IC Series chargers include electric cranes and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), scooters and motorcycles, ground care equipment, aerial work platforms, and utility vehicles. IC Series chargers offer the flexibility to charge lead-acid (wet/flooded, sealed AGM, or gel) or lithium-ion batteries. The three models in the IC Series lineup offer 650, 900, and 1200 watts of DC output power, respectively, and all are available in 24, 36, and 48-volt models.
The IC Series chargers are validated for long service life in demanding onboard applications and deliver superior equipment uptime. Their IP66 ingress protection seals out dust and fluids, while the mechanical design and component selection help withstand factors such as vibration, shock, and extreme temperatures. All Delta-Q chargers are manufactured in a global facility for highly reliable solutions with very low defect rates.
Delta-Q is now accepting sample requests for the IC900 and IC1200 for delivery in December 2015, with full commercial production slated to begin in March 2016. Specifications for the chargers are available at Delta-Q.com.
Delta-Q products offer "quality charging" for lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries using charging profiles developed in Delta-Q's battery laboratory. These high-performance profiles balance battery life, longevity, and charging time requirements. Delta-Q has commercialized more than 50 charging profiles, ensuring users experience improved uptime and flexibility for various battery chemistries.
Optional CAN bus communication enables a link between the charger and other components, providing safe lithium-ion battery charging, machine diagnostics, and service information. IC Series chargers store charge cycle data accessible via their integrated USB host port. Software updates and new charging profiles can be installed via the host port using a pre-programmed USB flash drive.
All IC Series chargers have a wide AC input range and can be used on any single-phase power grid worldwide. The IC650 has extensive regulatory approvals, and identical approvals are expected for the IC900 and IC1200.
