xpe0159webThe JCA10 series has a footprint 20% smaller than other DIP-24 packages available on the market. This reduced footprint allows engineers to minimize board space for new developments or utilize the existing board space for additional electronic functions, as the JCA is pin-to-pin compatible with the existing DIP24 industry standard, taking advantage of the freed-up space this new DC/DC converter will leave on your PCB.

With a 2:1 input ratio, the JCA series offers four nominal input voltages: 5, 12, 24, and 48 VDC. Inputs are 4.5–9.0 VDC, 9–18 VDC, 18–36 VDC, or 36–75 VDC, with low-voltage lockout protection as standard. For each input voltage, models are available with single outputs of +3.3, +5, +12, or +15 VDC, or dual outputs of +/- 5, +/- 12, or +/- 15 VDC. The outputs are fully regulated, varying no more than +/- 0.3% over the entire input voltage range and less than +/- 1.0% under all load conditions. The JCA series offers 1,500 VDC input-to-output isolation and 500 VDC isolation from the package to the input or output.

Recommended for a wide range of applications, the converter operates from -40°C to +100°C without power reduction up to +70°C. No additional radiator or forced ventilation is required. The maximum capsule temperature is +100°C.

The JCA will soon have internationally recognized UL/CSA and EN 60950-1 certifications and comply with EN55022 level A conducted and level B radiated emissions without the need to add external components.

The DC/DC JCA10s are available from the specialist local distributor VENCO Electrónica SA in Spain and Portugal, as well as from Farnell, element14, and have a 3-year warranty.
