3-6W DC/DC converters with EMC filter
The new REC3A, REC5A, and REC6A DC/DC converters have an integrated EMC filter and thus comply – without external components – with the requirements of EN55022, Class A. Class B can be easily achieved by integrating a small input capacitor.
The compact DIP24 Package modules (31.8 x 20.3 x 10.2 mm) with a 2:1 input (4.5–9 VDC; 18–36 VDC) provide a regulated 5 VDC output and can be operated with minimal load. They are protected against short circuits and overloads and are optionally available with integrated ultra-low voltage loss (UVLO). The converters can be used in a wide temperature range of -40°C to +100°C (with derating) and have a high efficiency of 81%. The modules are designed for use in industrial applications and are also suitable for high capacitive loads.
The converters are certified according to IEC/EN/UL60950-1 and IEC/UL/EN62368-1 standards and come with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty, which RECOM always provides. Samples are now available through authorized distributors.
