Designed for engineers who design and test devices that employ high currents, their main applications include: use in electronics laboratories for testing components such as DC-DC converters, LED lighting drivers, sensors and connectors; testing automotive devices at 12V, 42V and 120V; development of high-power portable devices such as power tools, robotics and industrial monitoring systems; and widespread deployment in the aerospace and defense market sectors for testing various avionics systems, for example.

We found four auto-ranging DC power supplies in the 36200 series: the 200W units are the E36231A (30V, 20A) and the E36232A (60V, 10A); while the 400W units are the dual-output E36233A (30V, 20A) and the dual-output E36234A (60V, 10A). All models are fully programmable.

Designed to generate more usable power, the manufacturer's auto-ranging technology provides the highest available current at all output voltages. In addition, dual-channel models also offer auto-series and auto-parallel modes, combining their output on one channel to double either the voltage or current.
