The AC/DC module offers an extended universal input range of 85 to 305 V AC and is rated for Overvoltage Category III (OVC III) up to 3000 m altitude and up to 5000 m in its encapsulated variants (OVC II). Efficiency reaches a maximum of over 90% and is maintained down to a 10% load, while no-load power consumption is typically less than 100 mW. Versions with fixed outputs of 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, 36 V, or 52 V DC are available, all with comprehensive protection against short circuits, overvoltages, and overcurrents. International safety certifications are available for medical, industrial, and domestic applications, with operation at ambient temperatures up to 90 °C.
The modules meet the EN 55032 Class B electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emissions requirements for floating outputs and grounded outputs via the /OIB and /EIB variants. In medical applications, the components are 2MOPP rated and suitable for BF applications. A version of the RACM65S-K/277 is also available as an open-frame chassis-mount module with an optional cover, measuring 79 mm x 40.8 mm x 32 mm. “The RACM65S-K/277 series offers an exceptional combination of performance, small size, and certifications, making it ideal for a wide range of applications,” says Michael Schrutka, AC/DC Product Manager at RECOM.
