Thanks to its integrated high-side switch housed in a small, 6-pin SOT-23 package, the MCP16301 minimizes the number of external components, enabling an efficient and compact solution that steps down the voltage from a 12V supply to 24VDC for driving PIC® microcontrollers and other low-voltage devices. The MCP16301 is suitable for TV set-top boxes, LED lighting, HVAC systems, and utility meters, as well as other applications in the industrial, telecommunications, consumer, and automotive markets.
High-speed peak-mode control provides rapid response to sudden input voltage and load transients in power applications, and the MCP16301 also delivers excellent line and load regulation. Built-in control loop compensation and slope compensation simplify the complexity of stabilizing the converter's control system for increased reliability.
