The MCP998x sensors enable accurate thermal monitoring across up to five channels. Integrated resistance error correction and beta compensation allow for reliable temperature measurement without the need for additional adjustments. With up to five control channels and multiple safety alert and shutdown options, this product family can support systems monitoring more than one thermal element. Remote sensors also incorporate resistance error correction and beta compensation, eliminating the need for additional adjustments to improve accuracy. Temperature monitoring at multiple locations with a single integrated temperature sensor reduces board size and complexity, simplifying design and allowing for a shorter bill of materials (BOM).
These sensors offer increased accuracy at the higher temperatures expected in demanding automotive applications. Furthermore, the sensors' 1.7 to 3.6 V supply voltage range ensures compatibility with a wide variety of systems. Resistor-controlled setpoints protect critical shutdown temperatures from malicious software overrides. The MCP998x sensors are compatible with the EV23P16A evaluation board, also available from Mouser.
